Ready to roll out of the box.This is a vintage Western Electric Conference Set, KS-19134, L1,which includes one KS-16617-L1 6V6GT tube amp, one B-553985 control chassis (preamp), a pair of Altec 755C speakers in Western Electric slant cabinets, one Altec 682A microphone, and connecting cables. It is all packaged in two handsome leather-covered carrying cases. I made some mods and hooked up sonos and it is now super cool and musically engaging mono system. Major attention getter!Music is indeed a universal language. I don’t know any Portuguese but it doesn’t stand in my way of appreciating this album. Sounds wonderful and warm on vinyl and the fading notes are gripping. First track is – The Girl From Ipanema and the first part of the song is sung in Portuguese by guitarist/singer João Gilberto, the second in English by his ex-wife Astrud who had never sung professionally before this recording.
